In 2018, a group of friends and I were serving in Mexico City, using a large vehicle affectionately known as ‘The Ballena’ (Spanish for ‘The Whale’) by our friends at El Pozo De Vida. After a decade of service, The Ballena was breaking down beyond repair. Recognizing the need, we rallied over 50 donors and raised $20,000 to purchase a new 15-passenger van. This experience became one of the early inspirations behind the vision of Godfellas — bringing people together to make a tangible difference. We look forward to creating many more stories like this in the future.
